Alright, I know, I know. I need to get out of Lexington more often! Hey, I’m busy. So busy, in fact, that I didn’t have time to stop and fully appreciate this nice mid-century modern starter home tucked along bustling Mt Tabor Rd. Don’t let that stop you from cruising by and appreciating this late 60s classic. It’s just a few minutes away from the crazy UFO house (which was still for sale last time I checked). Similar to the many homes along Lane Allen. Looks like this one has had the carport sealed in to create more space at some point. Photo is a bit blurry from Google street view. I will try and get there one day to take a better one.

I’ve long been an admirer of this low slung commercial structure on Southland Drive. With a little imagination (remove the sea of asphalt), it would make a cool residence. Lexingtonians will remember it as the home of a prosthetics shop for many years. This is one of several interesting buildings along the Southland corridor that remains from the bustling days of the 1950s and 60s.
