The iconic Bondurant’s Pharmacy building is a must-see for an traveler to Lexington. With a nod to googie and kitsch architecture, Joe Bondurant commissioned his mortar and pestle masterpiece in 1974. Nearly 40 years later, the pharmacy continues to proudly serve the community.  Clearly visible from Versailles Road, it is only a short drive from downtown.

UPDATE: kymodern sadly reports that the pharmacy closed in May of 2011. The future or this Lexington landmark is undetermined.
